Diane Corrado

One of the most popular radio shows, 21st CENTURY MUSIC RADIO has won accolades by enabling “unknown” local and national artists to be heard not only throughout the Greater Long Island area but worldwide as well.

Founded and co-hosted by a once “unknown” herself, Diane Corrado, the show features a combination of music and live interviews with musicians, songwriters, and producers to help advance Long Island’s own cast of artistic talent.

Diane Corrado’s background has made her a natural to create and grow 21st CENTURY MUSIC RADIO. She is a member of the Songwriter’s Guild of America, BMI, NARAS and Women In Music. Ms. Corrado and 21st Century Music Radio had previously aired for 5 ½ years on WGBB-1240 AM before moving over to WLIE - 540 AM. She has guest starred on numerous occasions on the Al Carr Show, Hofstra University, John Cranford Adams Playhouse, etc. and was also a substitute host for LT1, which is aired on Cablevision’s Public Access television and which also has national distribution. She has also performed on behalf of many organizations in the tri-state area at The Waldorf Astoria, Colony Hill, and The World Trade Center, to name just a few. Diane has also donated her talents to the Town of Hempstead, Massapequa Chamber of Commerce, the World Trade Center Relief Fund, and to many other worthwhile causes. Diane performs some of her songs at BayFest for the Blessing of the Fleet which includes a tribute to September 11th entitled, “Save Us, Angel of Love”. Her single “Hard Love” is a song to support organizations who help to fight against domestic abuse and violence.

Three of Diane’s songs, the title track to her CD “Picking Up The Pieces”, “Everywhere, Everyplace” and “That’s Right, Stranger”, were selected to be in a film entitled “Bob’s Rolling Reefer”. The film was accepted into the Long Island International Film Expo which premiered on July 20, 2000, and won Best Documentary in its class. It was then aired on television on the Metro Arts Channel. Diane narrated another documentary called “Caution: Show Dogs”. In addition, she co-wrote and performed the theme song “Show Dog” for this documentary which was signed to The Cinema Guild for International Distribution. In addition, she created and self-published a children’s picture book based on the lyrics of “Show Dog”. She also developed a corresponding coloring book and is now working on various intellectual properties which led her to forming her own company, Chanteuse Music Publishing, Inc.

Joey Alcarese is a gifted promoter, speaker and entrepreneur. She has spent many years in the field of Public Relations and several years managing WGBB 1240am where she came across masses of talent. One such talent was Diane Corrado, the two have now become a team. When Joey moved on from WGBB she was able to devote more time to her passion…the Not for Profit, Us Against Abuse. She co-founded this organization along with a diverse group of caring individuals who wanted to break the silence and take a stand against abuse in any form using Prevention, Intervention and Education. Helping those in need remain Joey’s priority however, watch for her to soar as she raises up a whole new level of talent she is promoting…

Joey Alcarese continues to host Spotlight on Issues heard on WLIE 540am Sunday morning at 8:30am and seen on Cablevision Channel 20 Friday morning at 6:30am in Suffolk and Saturday at 3am in Nassau.

Joey is not a person who likes to talk about herself but lives her creed “Making a difference begins with me!™ She believes in walking her talk. Expect to see many lives changed!

This year as Joey embarks on a new phase of her Entrepreneurship…

After many years, HM ("Heavy Metal") Dave returns to a friendly media. Back in 19-- (well, let's keep that a secret, shall we), HM hosted a weekly metal show, "Metal Thrust"....(how suggestive!!!) which, besides showcasing the many different sounds of metal at that time, featured regular walk-on interviews, with the likes of Virgin Steele, Burning Starr and Majesty (who later became Dream Theater). But enough nostalgia for the moment.

Thanks to Diane Corrado and 21st Century Music Radio, HM now has the wonderful opportunity of showcasing many genres of music, ranging from Acoustic to Rock to Metal to hmmmm, well anything). Make a note, every 1st Thursday of the month, tune it into "HM Dave's Place".

Thanks for
your support.
